Consider the Koala -
Specialized, Challenged, Unique

The Koala exists on the fringes of the animal kingdom yet fulfills a singular and successful niche. Challenged by its environment, the Koala adapted and specialized to succeed.  And in its success contributes to the success of its entire system.

Consider Young People In Today's World - Specialized, Challenged, Unique
…Just Like The Koala.

Each person has special gifts and talents that offer not only that person's opportunity for success, but also contribute to the success of society.

Each person is unique - no one else can fulfill that person's role.  Society has a niche that only that unique individual can fill.

Your uniqueness is a tool to meet your challenges.

For young people just as for the Koala,
uniqueness is both a challenge and a virtue.

Each person must find their passion, adapt it, and specialize in it in order to succeed.

The Koala - so unique and challenged, yet without its successful adaptation, the world would be a different place.

Each Young Person - so unique and challenged, yet provided with the tools necessary to adapt and specialize for success, and the hope to make the world a different place.

Comments From Students

Listening to your life story inspired me to try and finish high school. I was going to drop out because I just don’t care anymore, but you changed my mind. I love your music, you’re way cool, and have the best job ever."

- Sierra

You showed a successful dream in this complete vivid view. It was way different from reading books and them saying, "this is what can happen if you do this," or different from teachers always pushing us to try and do something that can get us somewhere. You actually came and proved a point to us saying anything we want to do is attainable if we really put our minds to it. You even showed us your dreams and how they are now basically your job.

Thanks again for showing me and everyone else what can be done if we really put our minds deep into it. It will definitely help for the future."

- Ashley

"You Have INSPIRED Me!!! J

Hey, this is Jessica from Boyd School where you came and performed today in McMinnville, TN. Some other students and I helped you set up equipment. That was an amazing performance! …and I hope to come and see you perform again. My friends and I were trying to figure out what kind of concert you were going to put on. It was incredible. I’ve looked over your myspace and you are just like a regular guy. You are really down to earth and look to be a cool person to hang out with. I enjoyed it and I hope to get my church to book you so be ready! Well I hope you will add me and you’ll be safe traveling back and forth to your concerts.

- Jessica

"Thanks a lot for coming and doing a show for us today at UF. I really liked it a lot and you really inspired me with what you said. I’ve been dancing since I was three years old and it’s always been my dream. But recently it’s been really stressful and hard for me. You definitely encouraged me to not give up on it with what you said today."

Comments From Educators

“For two years I watched David DiMuzio pursue his dreams while he completed high school at Gaston Day School. He practiced his juggling routine for hours in our performing arts center and worked the phone in our mailroom booking performances and making investments. It was a real treat to watch his polished performance combining juggling, music, and his own message of the importance of finding your passion and working to make your dreams come true. David's performance has the energy to hold the attention of young students and the edge and humor to engage older students.”
